Chants for the Meditation Session

Often Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche would let people gather around him in the evening and begin the meditation session with a short set of traditional chants passed down from his own gurus. These chants have been continued by his four lama sons on their teaching tours around the world.

Here is a version by Sascha and Nanna, two Danish girls:

Is there a possibility of seeing the words to these songs? I find I am playing them many times every day and hearing the melodies in my mind often for the rest of the day. I would like to learn to sing them as a kind of practice but I don't speak Tibetan and only hear of few words....mostly 'Ah Lama Chenno'....any chance of words? OR have they published a CD with the words - which I would happily buy.

Hi Johnson,
you are very fortunate to have received this empowerment and i'm glad we could be of help, though in the end it will be your own perseverance together with the blessings of the lineage that will lead you to the other side.

there are several good commentaries on this practice available (listed here). the best place to ask questions is on the sangha forum (requires registration), which was created for sharing information and advice.
