The Great Dakini of Tsurphu
This is a picture of the 15th Karmapa's consort, who was known as The Great Dakini of Tsurphu. Tulku Urgyen was greatly impressed by her and also taught her reincarnation Khandro Rinpoche who is the daughter of Minling Trichen who is the head of the Nyingma school. Khandro Rinpoche is also an amazing teacher, and having been raised and educated in India she teaches in English. You can read more about her, as well as check out her teaching schedule at her website.

For Khandro Rinpoche
Pure heart
iron determination
fragile flowers
fragile flowers
women's hearts are breaking
are breaking
are broken
have broken
ust put it back together
and go on.
ecause that's what we do
because that's how we are
we go on
and go on
and go on
no matter how it may seem
when you choose
when you choose
when you choose
give it all away
you are still enough and
quiet enough
to receive it
youth of incomparable
sublime light
we are sisters
all women everywhere
are sisters and mothers
and sisters and mothers
and sisters and mothers
and daughters of the world
dakini realm indeed
From my perspective this is a poem about women being raped. About women being abused by men, apparently, for centuries. About women choosing who they sleep with, and not the other way around. Makes me want to spit.
Dear "anonymous"
Which line or word triggered your anger?
Erik
"just put it back together
and go on
because that's what we do
because that's how we are"
those lines carry the most energy for me.
